This year, the Dresden University of Applied Sciences celebrates its 30th anniversary. It all began with the foundation in 1992 and the appointment of 23 university professors. In October of the same year, 1,000 students began their studies.

Today, 4,800 students are matriculated in 42 degree programs. With its strongly practice-oriented teaching and research, HTW Dresden ranks among the top German universities of applied sciences.

On the occasion of our anniversary, we would like to invite you to take a look at the history, present and future of our university and celebrate together with us.

On the anniversary page www.htw-dresden.de/30jahre you will find all the current dates of the celebratory year.  The chronicle offers a short journey through the development of the university and presents highlights of the past years. In addition, professors, lecturers, students, doctoral candidates, employees from administration and technology, graduates and companions of the university will have their say in the coming months. After all, what essentially forms the university and makes it successful are the people who shape it.
